The guilty verdict in the George Floyd case is an important and historic moment in the fight for racial justice. And it is just the beginning. We must continue the work of uprooting systemic racism that perpetuates racial inequity in all areas of life, including housing, health, education, criminal justice, and economic opportunity. Systemic racism continues to cause disinvestment from Black and brown communities and disproportionate rates of housing insecurity, displacement, and homelessness.
